What is Mad King Redemption?
Mad King Redemption is a pixel-art beat 'em up with roguelite progression from developer SECRET MISSION. Set in the corrupted kingdom of Aldermere, it sends you through randomized rooms against the Mad King's forces with four playable heroes: Valraven the balanced swordmaster, Branok the sturdy bruiser, Darkblade the fast assassin, and Elowen the ranged summoner and healer. Each hero has customisable stats and a distinct combat rhythm.
Between runs you rebuild power in the Brotherhood hub, where quest-gated NPCs such as the blacksmith Brogan and the master mage Kael sell upgrades that outlast death. Forbidden Powers hit harder but fill a Corruption Bar that ends in an Overdose Phase and a punishing crash, and the two-player campaign supports local shared-screen co-op plus Steam Remote Play Together.
